EXCERPT ON HUMILITY™ ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND FROM TRAINING CD #68, OIL BLENDS FOR EMOTIONAL HEALTH WITH GARY YOUNG:
We All Need Humility
Humility is another oil blend I feel we have great need for, and certainly something that we all can use a little bit of. It's easy to get caught up in our activities and our own personal agendas and egos and lose humility. This is a space where very human being needs to spend a little rehearsal time and practice. I say that because I teach that which I most need to learn myself. I am not too proud to say that humility is something I need to learn. I choose to learn; I choose to keep embracing it and working in that direction. I believe also that humility is one of the greatest attributes the Savior has taught.
Humility contains Geranium and Ylang Ylang for opening the heart and the liver; Frankincense, Spikenard, and Myrrh for opening the brain; Rose, Rosewood, Melissa, and Neroli for bringing us into a space of submission and humility. These oils are all agents that are very high on the chemistry level for calming and relaxing the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems. To be humble we have to have those systems sedated (in a manner of speaking), and in a state of peace, in a state of calming, in a space of receptivity.
When you use Humility™ with Acceptance™ it is the most powerful combination if you truly want humility. You can't go there when you are angry, but that is when we most need to go there. I deal with it, I battle with it constantly and as long as we are human we'll always be there, but as long as we are conscious of the need and we work at it, that's all that God expects of us – just to be constantly working at improving day after day, and that's where we need to be. Just put Humility™ with Acceptance™ because that helps to bring you into that space of recognizing and accepting your deficiencies.
Surrender™ is another oil blend that works exceptionally well with Humility, surrendering your ego, surrendering your agenda, moving into the space where you can be more in tune to the Christ consciousness and God's awareness. Please forgive me if I sound like a born again preacher!
More About Humility™
Put it on the throat chakra, on the chest; and why there? Once you put it there, then put it on your knees. Teach them to bow, teach them to bend. Some place in your Owner's Operator's Manual it talks about "every knee shall bend and every tongue shall confess." How you choose to interpret that is up to everyone's own belief system, so I don't go beyond that. But this I will say, "Every knee shall bend and every tongue shall confess to the need of becoming one with God and His creation." When you do that then you move into the space of humility where Father can work through you, and I know every person in this room desires that.
Humility™ is an oil blend that I formulated shortly after studying at the Hebrew University in 1993, and I created it because I was in a very interesting situation at that time. I had been at BYU (Brigham Young University) in Jerusalem that afternoon where I had been visiting with some people and I had spent the evening with them.
After I came back to the hotel the guy behind the counter asked me where I had been and I just said, "I have been at the BYU." He said, "Oh–have a good evening." I thought that was kind of strange and I went up to my room and at 2:00 in the morning I heard boom, boom, boom on my door! The door unlocked and two guys came charging in with a third guy behind them. They grabbed me out of the bed, they grabbed my suitcase and my stuff and said, "You are out of here!" They took me down the stairs and threw me on the street with my suitcase, clothes, and everything, and slammed the door. "You no come back!" No explanation, no nothing.
I was really angry! I gathered up my things, flagged a taxi and had him take me to another hotel, and the hotel wouldn't let me in. I went to another hotel and finally got a room and got settled down. The whole issue was that the guy who had me thrown out of his hotel was anti-Christian and when he found out I had been at BYU, then I was out of the hotel. Then he started calling hotels and telling them not to let me in. BYU has a campus in Jerusalem, so there was this attitude. It was 5:00 in the morning and I had to be in class, and I just wanted to get on the plane and go home. I was feeling really angry and as I was leaning back in the bed contemplating what to do, I thought, "Forget about it. I am just going to go home," and this little voice just went off in my head, "Humility, humility." I remember thinking, "Forget it, get out of here. It's no time for that stuff!" but it was so strong. Then I started going into the feeling of resentment and realized that if I allowed myself to go there, I would stop learning. I'm in their country and I don't understand their feelings and I don't understand the conditions and needs they have and what they have been through for "x" number of thousands of years that has created this attitude, and if I can't go into humility I will not choose to understand. And if I choose not to understand, then I can no longer serve. That is what that did for me. So again, it was adversity that took me to a space to learn another lesson.
DNA Repair Oils
As a result of this experience I created Humility™. It's been a blend that Mary says I need to use more of. It is so beautiful and isn't it interesting how everyone of these spiritual blends has Frankincense, Myrrh, or Sandalwood – all the DNA repair oils. I go back and look at this now and all of this was done strictly intuitively, but there is a DNA repair in every single one of them.
Geranium for the liver because we hold anger in the liver. You can't be humble and hold onto anger, and when you let the anger go, then the humility can come in. Sometimes it's a real challenge for us. I am speaking from my heart because I have carried anger all my life and I will carry anger all the rest of my life. We all will on different levels. It's learning how to control it and how to make peace with it, and it's learning how to use the anger to push you to go the distance. That's the value of it–when you can use those emotions to create and bring out your greatness.
Humility Fits Everywhere
I am not even going to tell you where to put Humility™ because it fits everywhere. I love diffusing it; I love putting in on my handkerchief and hanging it over the lampshade of the room if I don't have a diffuser; I love sprinkling it over a hand cloth and putting it over the air vent or the air conditioner or the heater vent in a room at night.
I use Humility™ a lot in the hotel room when I am traveling because when I go into a room there is no way of knowing who has been there before I was. There is no way of knowing which hitchhikers they left behind! So I go in with Purification™ and I sprinkle it in the carpet and I put Humility™ on the air vent.
Can You Relate?
How many of you have gone into a hotel room and when you walk in, you're feeling great, and by the time you get your clothes out of your suitcase and get them hung up you are feeling angry. Why is that happening? Nothing has changed. Everybody was good to you in the lobby, the bell captain helped you up to your room, took your suitcases in, set the big one up on the stand. They were gracious to you. Here was a bowl of fruit, here was our water, everything was fine. The bed was turned down, pillows were fluffed, and you get your suitcase unpacked, but you are feeling frustration. You are feeling anger.
This is because of the energy that was left in the room before you got there! So when you travel, learn to clear the space you are occupying so you are not taking on someone else's stuff, because most of the time we take on other people's stuff.
I watched this in years past when we were doing Level-Two's. How many of you have been at Level- Two's where I had you teamed up three to a table (one at the feet and one at the head) and helping through this cleansing process that I learned in Egypt? I used to teach that and I haven't gone away from it, but I learned that the person on the table (because they were opening up to release) were taking on the energy of the person touching them, so they were actually surrogate-releasing. Then they would get off the table and say, "Wow! I didn't know I had all that stuff in me!" — and it wasn’t their stuff!
So that's why I started creating the separation like we did yesterday so you can have the individuality and just deal with yourself. We take it on and if we are not conscious of these things, it happens. It's very, very real whether we are in a space of recognizing it or not. This has a major impact on how we react to things, so if you can go up to your room and all of a sudden you start feeling anger and the person brings your dinner and you are indignant about one thing or another and all of a sudden you are snapping at a totally innocent person for something they weren't responsible for doing, did you ever stop to think why?
Well, that's why. So just be aware of it. It's so important to be aware of these things as you are building your business because your greatest strain is moving into humility and into gratitude. When you are there, then it moves you out of fear. Gratitude and Humility moves you out of fear.
